Our success is no fluke. We take community engagement very seriously. We understand that you must make any engagement event responsive, rewarding and entertaining for contributors to have confidence they were heard and feel part of the change. This is critical for the community to continue to turn-out and have confidence in any community engagement initiative.
We are proud to be an Indigenous owned and operated firm, which gives our engagement team huge credibility based from shared history and multi-generational relationships with many of the northern communities we work within. It is not uncommon to be asked, “who is your grandma/grandpa”, and an instant connections made when they recognize our family names.
Gunta Business has now been operating for over 8 years in the Yukon and has now developed a long and positive history with each and every Yukon community. Our work spanning community economic development, renewable energy, and business planning has allowed members of our team into some level of engagement with every Yukon community and provides a familiarity with many members of our team with locals.
In addition to the familiarity to members of our team, Gunta Business is now becoming a well recognized and well respected ‘brand’ that carries the dignity, respect and the historical and cumulative pride of our team’s our overall body of work.

What is a comprehensive community plan?
Comprehensive community planning is a holistic process that enables a community to build a roadmap to sustainability, self-sufficiency, and improved government capacity.
The plan will define where you are today, the issues that matter and the change you want to see. It will create a compelling vision, and a roadmap for how to get from where you are today to where you want to get to. It will also define who will own the plan and who will be in charge of implementing it.
Awakening the Greatness Within
The Carcross Comprehensive Community Plan
Carcross/Tagish First Nation (C/TFN) is one of over 160 First Nation communities across Canada currently embarking on an ambitious and exciting project to create a comprehensive community plan or CCP.
C/TFN would like to include all the communities and stakeholders of its entire Traditional Territory, which would include…Marsh Lake, Mount Lorne, Tagish, South Klondike, to find new ways of working together to create the future our communities desire.
This is a one of a kind process that’s never been done before. We are leading the way to create a new way of working together across boundaries and organizations for the betterment of our communities and our region.
Over the next two years we will, as a team, explore how we can better work together to see more action and change on issues that matter to everyone who lives, works and plays in these areas.
The Awakening the Greatness within Project is not about creating “another plan”. It is, at its core, about creating new ways of working together across the region to create the future.
